The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and customer service, helping to create a welcoming environment for our customers. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a vital role in food preparation, sales, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety.

PREVIOUS FOOD SERVICE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of baked goods, including bread, pastries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area in compliance with food safety standards. Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately. Utilize Spot On POS system for processing orders and managing inventory. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and upselling products. Ensure all products are displayed attractively to enhance sales opportunities. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth bakery operations during peak hours. Requirements Strong math skills for handling cash and making change accurately. Experience with cash handling and operating a cash register is preferred. Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus. Knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques. Understanding of food safety practices to maintain hygiene standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Ability to upsell products and contribute to sales goals. Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
