Experienced Baker/Pastry Chef Poland Provisions 1220 Maine Street, Poland, ME 04274 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry preparation, with a commitment to quality and creativity. As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing a variety of baked goods while ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met. This role requires both technical skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Duties Prepare and bake a wide range of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of high quality, adhering to food safety standards. Measure and mix ingredients accurately to create consistent products. Decorate and present baked items attractively for display or catering purposes. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area, following proper food handling procedures. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate production schedules and meet customer demands. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Skills Proven experience in a restaurant or bakery setting with a focus on baking and pastry. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations- ServSafe or similar certification preferred. Proficiency in culinary techniques related to baking, including mixing, measuring, and decorating. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely production of baked goods. Familiarity with catering operations is a plus. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen environment. We are a small family owned business that has been growing fast since opening in 9/2023.
