Bakery Front of House Associate (Part-Time) Farm to Cake 500 Hazelwood Avenue, Waynesville, NC 28786 Overview We are seeking a friendly, dependable front-of-house associate to assist customers, manage transactions, and represent our bakery with pride. This is a fast-paced “hurry up and wait” environment—perfect for someone who can handle a rush and stay productive during slower times. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers in a warm, helpful manner Answer questions about our baked goods and ingredients Operate the cash register and handle payments accurately Box pastries and prepare orders for grab-and-go Restock displays and maintain a clean, welcoming environment Fold boxes and assist with light prep as needed Stay calm and work efficiently during busy times Qualifications Previous experience in food service or retail preferred Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling Strong communication and people skills Must be able to work some Saturdays Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs Self-motivated and dependable
