Baker’s Assistant The Sweet Easy 507 East Main Street, Elizabeth City, NC 27909 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in baking and cake decorating. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Your creativity and attention to detail will play a crucial role in delighting our customers with delicious treats. Responsibilities Prepare and bake a wide range of products including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies. Decorate baked goods with artistic flair to enhance presentation. Follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in taste and quality. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including measuring ingredients. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and knives. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist with ordering as necessary. Skills Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the kitchen environment. Experience in the food industry with a focus on baking and pastry preparation. Proficient knife skills for precise cutting and decorating tasks. Ability to bake various types of bread, pastries, and desserts to perfection. Familiarity with catering processes for large orders or events is a plus. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality output in all baked products.
