Bakery Assistant Coney Waffle Ice Cream Cakery 801 Belmar Plaza, Belmar, NJ 07719 Job Overview We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. This hands-on role involves supporting day-to-day bakery operations, including preparation, production, and presentation of a variety of treats such as cookies, brownies, fudge, chocolates, and more. The ideal candidate is passionate about baking, thrives in a team environment, and is committed to cleanliness, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and production of baked goods and confections (e.g., brownies, cookies, fudge, and chocolates). Support decorating processes by prepping ingredients and assisting with finishing touches as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with food safety guidelines. Provide friendly and helpful service to customers, answering product-related questions and handling special requests. Safely operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and cutting tools. Monitor ingredient levels and assist with inventory management, including restocking and notifying management of low supplies. Qualifications & Experience Prior experience in a bakery, kitchen, or food service environment is a plus, but not required. Basic knowledge of food safety and handling procedures. Comfortable working with kitchen equipment and willing to follow safety protocols. Ability to multitask, follow instructions, and adapt in a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude. A genuine interest in baking and a willingness to learn and grow with the team. Additional Information Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods of time. Flexible schedule preferred, including availability on weekends and holidays.
