The baking and pastry program at Serata will be a cornerstone appeal for our guests. Work along side a classically trained Master Baker from Alma in Italy. Serata, a highly anticipated seasonal, ingredient driven, fine dining restaurant, offering a multi-course tasting menu opening in the summer of 2025 is looking for a few Bread Bakers to join our Baking and Pastry Team. Serata, located in Elmont, Long Island will be a Modern Italian restaurant that will focus on impeccable ingredient sourcing throughout all the seasons to offer guests an exceptional dining experience. Serata, is seeking passionate, purposeful bakers to join our team. Serata is dedicated to producing handmade breads and pastries using traditional baking techniques and providing our guests with an unforgettable experience. Responsibilities & Expectations:

Recognize the importance of professionalism and respect and exemplify this in interactions with vendors and coworkers alike.
Assist our team in all aspects of production including but not limited to scaling, mixing, sheeting, proofing, baking and so on. Ensure proper inventory and quality are maintained- recognizing that every day presents varying needs and adjusting work flow to meet these needs.
Maintain a clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing space in accordance with operations and sanitation guidelines.
Follow tasks as instructed by managers and supervisors, ensuring responsibilities are met and, when possible, exceeded.
Commit to creating consistent, high quality products- communicating to your superiors when there are concerns that these expectations are not met. Foster a positive work environment and commitment to Serata values.

Skills & Requirements:

One year of professional experience in bread making, proofing and doughs.
Formal education in culinary arts, pastry and/or bread making, preferred but not required. Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Remarkable communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving aptitude, and ability to multitask.
Capacity to excel on a team or work independently. Ability to work early mornings, holidays and weekends.
Ability to work on your feet for a full shift and lift 50+ lbs during the shift.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
