Cake Decorator Position:

The cake decorator’s main responsibility is to help design and decorate custom cakes(including tiered celebration/wedding cakes) covered in both buttercream and fondant. Culinary school training is a plus, but not necessary.

WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS ARE A MUST IN THIS INDUSTRY

The ideal candidate will:

• Have well developed artistic talents that include a skilled sense of composition, balance and design.
• Have a great eye for color and the ability to accurately recreate a color from a swatch.
• Have highly developed cake decorating skills, including the ability to neatly and accurately sculpt two-dimensional and three-dimensional figures using fondant, gum-paste, modeling chocolate, rice crispy, etc.
• have experience in icing and assembling traditional sponge cakes with buttercream and whipped cream icings
• Be able to create designs with or without reference materials.
• Have a positive, high energy, friendly, enthusiastic, team-oriented attitude.
• Be professional, reliable, organized and efficient, with excellent time management skills.
• Be able to handle high pressure and volume, and work quickly.

Be able to follow instructions and direction, and have excellent communication skills. Compensation will be based on experience but is highly competitive. Must be able to work 6 days per week. Weekends and holidays are a must. Must be able to travel between locations to meet needs of business.
