Culinary Specialist – Pizza Thirsty Fellow Pizzeria and Pub 621 Gadsden St, Columbia, SC 29201 Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a love for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality pizza to our customers. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious pizzas, ensuring food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, adhering to food handling guidelines. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and cutting tools safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and utensils. Assist in the preparation of other menu items as needed. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or cooking in a fast-paced environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests. Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and processing transactions. Knowledge of food handling safety practices is essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with culinary techniques related to pizza making is a plus.
