Pastry Chef/Cake Decorator 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 1210 Taft Highway, Signal Mountain, TN 37377 Pruett’s Market is a locally owned specialty grocery store that has a wide selection of the best, newest products and house made items. A fast paced, teamwork oriented environment, we are looking for a cake decorator/ pastry chef to join our team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Packages, labels, and prices pre-made and in-house desserts. Maintains full stock of in-house and pre-made dessert in display cases. Cleans in-house & pre-made dessert coolers and freezers. Keeps up-to-date with the latest trends in both flavors and aesthetic appeal. Places, designs, and decorates cakes for custom orders. Maintains a cleans work area and performs other cleaning tasks. Adheres to health and safety regulations by maintaining product freshness and sanitation. Able to provide information/knowledge to customers about products. Assist cafe with all baked goods.
Qualifications:
Provides excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Able to use decorating tools such as airbrush guns, modeling tools, and electronic mixers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Passionate on elaborate, attractive, and artistic pastry designs. Excellent customer service and actively engage our customers. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Experience in food service preferred, but not required.
