Barista/Kitchen Alabaster Coffee Company 3509 South Broad Street, Scottsboro, AL 35769 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista/Kitchen person to join our team. As a Barista/Kitchen person, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the coffee shops standards of cleanliness and food safety. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care. Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive experience. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shops area, including equipment and workstations. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and service. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items. Collaborate with team members to create a harmonious work environment. Experience Previous experience in sales or retail is preferred but not required. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of different coffee types is a plus. Experience in the food industry or café setting is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of retail math concepts related to inventory management is beneficial.
