The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in meal preparation and food handling. This role is essential for delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every meal meets our standards of excellence. Time requirements:

Potential for 34 or more hours weekly We need coverage 7 days a week and the shift is from 730-330 30 minutes to open and 30 minutes to close We need someone to handle the Front of House, register, coffee, help bake off empanadas and pastelitos and help with prep and closing down for the next day. This will include sweeping and mopping, some dishes, cleaning down and sanitizing the front area and others as needed. We have a high expectation of food safety and handling procedures. Do not apply if this is not top of mind for you. Responsibilities Prepare and make drinks according to recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front area, including cooking stations and storage areas. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and quality control. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the restaurant. We serve a pretty simple menu and expect that to allow our baristas to be able to pitch in and help in other areas of need as time allows. Experience Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role within the restaurant or catering industry is preferred. Familiarity with finer dining practices and techniques is a plus. Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
