Discover customer needs and appropriately suggests product with every customer to enhance service and meet sales goals. Assists customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales ( as applicable) Responds to customers needs and says thank you to every customer. Maintains customer service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner Demonstrates ” just say yes” behavior when taking care of customer needs Prepares a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and coffee of the week to Starbucks standards. Follows store policies and procedures for operational flow at each station Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with the Duty Rosters and cleaning standards and works as a store team player. Presents oneself professionally ad demonstrates clear communication by using start skills with all customers and partner interactions Follows standards for merchandising, stoking, rotating, and storing all products. Performance equipment maintenance in accordance with preventive maintenance checklist. Follows cash handling and register policies. Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines Learns and demonstrates creating the Starbucks experience Learns and demonstrates all performance standards by completing initial store training and passing barista certification with a score of 90% or better. Abilities Required Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to use point of sale. Ability to lift/carry weight up to 50 pounds. Ability to push/and pull carts of products weighing up to 150 pounds.
