Barista/Cashier Bronx bagel & deli 230 South Powerline Road, Deerfield Beach, FL 33442 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee and customer service will help us deliver an exceptional experience that keeps our patrons coming back. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions about menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, counters, and dining spaces. Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, assisting with stock management as needed. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in food preparation areas. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours while managing time effectively. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of various coffee types is a plus. Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively. Basic understanding of retail math for inventory management is beneficial. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
