As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Your role will be essential in fostering a warm atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. We are located in an office. building, so during breakfast and lunch there is a rush. Applicants must be able to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task. Pay is hourly + tips. •Please note this is not a summer job, we are looking for someone year round that can work business hours (roughly 9 am – 5 pm)•Duties Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including food preparation areas, equipment, and dining spaces. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and service. Engage with customers to provide recommendations, answer questions about menu items, and create a welcoming atmosphere. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours. Take food orders and serve food to customers dining in and dining out. Some deliveries within the building. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or café environment is preferred but not required. Strong cash handling skills and familiarity with cash registers or POS systems. Ability to prepare food items safely while adhering to food safety guidelines. A genuine passion for coffee Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor that enhances customer interactions.
