Barista and Cashier/part time Curtain Call Pet Grooming Salon Jacksonville, FL Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our café team. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service. Your ability to engage with customers, manage time effectively, and maintain food safety standards will contribute to the overall success of our café. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Operate the Aloha POS system for order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours. Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly while adhering to cash handling procedures. Promote café offerings and upsell products to enhance the customer experience. Requirements Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere for guests. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders. Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods. Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A willingness to learn about coffee preparation techniques and menu offerings is essential.
