Exploria Resorts Job Summary:

The Barista Lead will report directly to the Food and Beverage Manager and is responsible for operating the POS register, preparing Starbucks-crafted drinks, and processing credit and debit transactions and room charges. The Barista Lead must provide the highest quality of service in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and to customers’ requests using proper equipment Tender transactions using company best practices Issue receipts, refunds, and or credits due to customers Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas as well as a seating area Establish or identify prices of goods, and tabulate bills using POS or calculators Resolve customer complaints Answer customers’ questions, and provide information on procedures or policies Calculate total payments received during a time period, and reconcile this with total sales Compute and record totals of transactions Bag merchandise Process merchandise returns and exchanges. Assist Management with end-month inventory counts Assist Management with par sheets for ordering Assist with training new hires All other duties assigned by management

Qualifications and Skills:

Prior Barista experience preferred Knowledge of basic arithmetic Knowledge of merchandise location Must be punctual, dependable, and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to work under pressure and take initiative in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and a willingness to learn Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Must have a neat appearance and be well groomed

Physical Demands:
