Baristas suggest and serve high quality Starbucks products, WeProudly Serve (WPS) and/or Starbucks Licensed products (includingrelated ice cream and complimentary/retail pastries).Responsibilities following the Starbucks Standards when servingguests; interacting with guests or fellow shipboard employees;providing customers with product details such as coffee blend orpreparation descriptions; describing menu items or recommendingproducts that might appeal to them; preparing or serving hot orcold beverages, such as espresso drinks, blended coffees or teas;cleaning or sanitizing work areas, utensils, or equipment; checkingtemperatures of freezers, refrigerators or heating equipment toensure proper functioning; organizing assigned station and ensuringreadiness prior to guest arrival; acting in a professional andcourteous manner at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively works as a Barista and exhibits high standards ofservice when engaging with guest and constantly investigatesservice standards improvements through talking with guests andreading all related comments and follow up.
- Ensures the venue is set-up on time with adequate amount of allproducts is on-hand. Inspects workstations, work areas, equipment,etc. to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.
- Assist in training and monitoring new Baristas for proper skilland service. Participates in training for new recipes, promotions,techniques, equipment, etc. Provides on-the-job training tostrengthen current performance and preparation for possibleadvancement to promotional positions. Monitors the dailyworkstation operation to ensure speed and efficiency.
- Demonstrates the proper operation of all equipment. Testequipment to ensure accuracy of temperature gauges, heating orcooling elements etc. Reports all malfunctions and requestnecessary repairs.

- Prepare all products consistently to a high standard. Testbeverages being prepared by viewing, tasting, and smelling.
- Reviews USPH procedures for sanitation and cleanliness andmonitors workstations and adherence to those procedures at alltimes. Enforces and follows USPH cleaning procedures for worksurfaces, all related equipment and utensils.
- Enforces the storage or disposal of over production items.according to Royal Caribbean International?s brand standards andStarbucks We Proudly Serve and/or Starbucks License rules andregulations.
- Responds to escalated guest complaints in a considerate,professional and positive manner by showing concern and listeningactively. Takes ownership of guest concerns, by following-up andensuring complaints are resolved to the guest?s satisfaction.
- Consistently serves all food related items in the venue to a highstandard whether those products be complimentary or revenuegenerating.
- Ensures a healthy and safe working environment at alltimes.
