The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming environment for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately. Handle cash transactions efficiently using the Aloha POS system or other point-of-sale systems. Maintain cleanliness in the work area, including food preparation surfaces and equipment. Assist with food handling and preparation as needed, ensuring all items meet health and safety standards. Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies; restock as necessary. Engage with customers to provide information about menu items and recommend products based on their preferences. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Qualifications Previous experience in a barista or customer service role is preferred but not required. Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate transactions. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to enhance customer interactions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
