As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your role will involve engaging with customers, taking orders, and ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Aloha POS system efficiently to process customer orders and handle cash transactions accurately. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking their orders, and offering recommendations based on their preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations to guarantee the highest quality of products served. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies. Requirements Previous experience in food service or customer service is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha POS is a plus) and cash handling procedures. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques. Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
