Kitchen/Barista Juniper Market 48 San Marco Avenue, Saint Augustine, FL 32084 Job Summary This position is hourly plus tips. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and dining areas. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer experience. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Basic knowledge of retail math to manage transactions accurately. Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers is an advantage. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and food safety practices is desirable. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage offerings.
