Located in beautiful Ardsley Park, we are a year-old neighborhood, French inspired, European-loving, environment serving coffee/teas, light breakfast and lunch, baked goods and pastries, with afternoon charcuterie. We also offer beer and wine by the glass and have a wonderful marché (market) allowing guests to grab a baguette or other delectables to go; perfect for a picnic in the park or a token of hospitality on the way to dinner at a friend’s home. We provide service that leaves the guest feeling genuinely cared for through your interactions with them, making them true regulars. The details:
The Barista creates a great experience for our customers by providing quality coffee beverages and products, quick service and providing a sophisticated and memorable experience for our guests. The Barista works directly with other baristas and kitchen prep team members. The Barista will work directly under and answer to the Manager.
What you will do:
- Greet all guests with a smile while taking food and drink orders, answering any questions, calling guests by name and thanking them for their order.
- Provide and prepare quality beverages and food products consistently to all guests by adhering to recipe and presentation standards while also providing legendary service.
- Stay happy and calm during periods of high volume to keep the store operating properly and set a positive example for the team.
- Operate a cash register and receive payment from guests, while following all brand and customer service and cash handling policies and procedures.
- Keep the store clean, stocked, organized and decorate customer display areas.
- Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge to enhance the culture, values and mission of the brand and while following operational policies and procedures, including those for safety and security.

We will provide training, however we seek individuals who already know the business and basics of shot pulling. What a day might look like: Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, etc. Set up, stock, and maintain work areas. Input orders into cash register system and collect payment from customer. Take orders, record in TOAST system and prepare food and coffee beverages. Ensure that appliances (e.g., coffee makers) are turned on/off at the appropriate times. Bus dining room areas (inside/outside-front and back). Clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day. Obtain change required for expected business level. Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects). Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors of Manager(s).
Availability:
We are currently hiring staff with the following availability: Applicants must be available to work Fridays/Saturdays and another shift or two a week.
Our barista shifts are:
7am-4.30pm(9.5hrs) + counter shifts: 8am-4.30pm(8.5hrs). Please only apply if you have this availability. Thanks! (we are closed Sundays)
PAY:
We start at $10hour for the first month of training/probation and after a successful review, the rate is $11hour PLUS pooled tips
- Become Serve-Safe licensed and acquire bar card.
