Space Coast Cafe is owned by the same operator of Wormhole Bar. We are currently staffing up for growth and need an opener (6:30am) as well as an afternoon closer. The pay is an hourly rate that can be negotiated based on experience and references, plus tips which average another $4/hour. We are especially seeking a candidate that is interested in being promoted to Operations Manager who has the experience and knowledge to lead the business to success. The Operations Manager should be creative-minded to help develop products and offerings that appeal to today’s coffee house consumer.

Basic Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and smoothies to customers
• Operate cash register and handle customer transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area
• Follow food safety standards and guidelines at all times
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
• Manage inventory levels and restock supplies as needed

Skills:

• Passion for coffee and health foods.
• Experience in food service, including preparing beverages and food items
• Familiarity with operating a cash register and POS systems
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of basic math and cooking skills for measuring ingredients and baking items.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and efficiently during transactions
• Understanding of food safety practices to maintain a clean and hygienic workspace
• Reliable and adheres to the posted schedule; staff reliabilty is important to the success of the business.
• Able to self-supervise; stay busy and task oriented without anyone having to direct or supervise you.
