As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean, organized workspace will contribute to our café’s success. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the café, including the dining area, kitchen, and equipment. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions with accuracy and maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and restocking supplies as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Maintain knowledge of menu items and promotions to effectively upsell products to customers. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Experience in café or food service environments is preferred. Basic math skills for handling transactions and understanding retail math concepts. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Attention to detail in food handling and preparation processes to ensure quality standards are met.
