Barista and Cashier//part time Handsome Jack’s Pet Club Atlanta, GA Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items. Your enthusiasm for coffee and exceptional customer service will contribute to an enjoyable experience for our guests. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate cash registers efficiently, handling transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Engage with customers, taking their orders, answering questions about menu items, and making recommendations based on their preferences. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, food supplies, and other café essentials. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and improve barista skills. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry or café environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and food safety practices is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to learn new skills related to coffee preparation and sales.
