- SUMMARY
- We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista Server to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages, assisting with food service, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for every guest.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty drinks
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment
- Assist with food preparation, serving pastries, sandwiches, and snacks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the caf area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas
- Handle cash and card transactions using the POS system
- Replenish stock and rotate inventory to ensure freshness and availability
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene guidelines at all times
- Upsell menu items and provide product recommendations to customers
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient caf operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous barista, food service, or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment and multitask effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- A passion for coffee and a desire to learn more about the craft.
- EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of US currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
