The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee, contributing to a welcoming café atmosphere. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages according to established recipes and standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items. Operate the POS system for processing transactions efficiently and accurately. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Stay informed about new products and promotions to effectively engage customers in sales opportunities. Qualifications Previous experience in the coffee industry is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Familiarity with Square POS or other point-of-sale systems is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Ability to work well in a fast-paced café environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and passion for coffee culture is highly desirable. Must be able to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
