Customer Service Barista Katherines Bakery and Cafe 248 Main Street, Norway, ME 04268 Overview We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while serving high-quality coffee and beverages. Your expertise in coffee preparation, along with your exceptional customer service skills, will ensure that each guest has an enjoyable experience. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks according to established recipes and standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately. Handle cash transactions efficiently using the cash register, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to sales protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee supplies and other products. Engage with customers to provide information about menu items and make recommendations based on their preferences. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Experience Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash register operations. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
