Barista/Cashier ‘Sippsi Good Tea 100 E Capitol St, Jackson, MS 39201 Overview As a Tea Barista at ‘Sippsi Good Tea, you will play a key role in delivering warm, memorable customer experiences while crafting high-quality tea beverages. Whether serving tea at pop-ups or participating in creative event activations, your presence will help shape the ‘Sippsi experience. This is an independent contractor position. Hours may fluctuate based on event bookings, operational needs, and your availability. While not guaranteed, contractors may be scheduled for up to 35 hours per week. Our standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, which are subject to change. However, events may occasionally occur after hours or on weekends, and scheduling will be coordinated in advance based on your availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and serve customers with professionalism and enthusiasm Prepare hot and iced tea beverages according to Sippsi standards Educate customers about tea blends and herbal benefits Package and label retail tea products Maintain cleanliness and organization of tea bar and prep areas Assist with setup and breakdown of mobile tea bar and event stations held off site in the Jackson, MS Metro Area . Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Operate the POS system for processing orders and payments efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations. Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food handling safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery. Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment. Qualifications Previous or customer service role is preferred but not required. Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate transaction processing. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling safety practices is beneficial. A friendly demeanor with a passion for providing outstanding customer service. Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
