Barista/Cashier (part time) Shiny Paws Grooming & Day Care Charlotte, NC Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS, to process transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies. Adhere to food handling safety regulations and maintain compliance with health standards. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or as a Barista is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is advantageous. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus but can be learned on the job.
