Full Job Description Barista Position Summary:

The Barista is the face of CupLux, responsible for preparing high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service. They contribute to the overall atmosphere of the shop by creating a welcoming and friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately. Maintain a deep understanding of menu offerings and provide recommendations to customers. Prepare coffee, tea, specialty drinks, and smoothies according to recipes and customer preferences. Prepare food according to company standards. Operate and maintain coffee-making equipment, including: espresso machines, grinders, coffee station, sauce/syrups, cold brew and drip stations. Operate and maintain pastry and bagel area, including: toaster, microwaves, counter, and pastry rack. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter and workstation throughout your shift. Restock supplies and ingredients as needed. Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

BOH prep work:

breakfast sandwiches, smoothie prep, sauces, syrups, and cold brew. Keep an eye on inventory levels. Let management know if an item is low. Restock FOH before leaving for the day. Clean FOH and BOH before clocking out: workstations, coffee equipment, floor, and counters.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience as a barista or in a customer-facing role is preferred but not required. Friendly and approachable demeanor. Strong multitasking skills and ability to work under pressure. Willingness to learn and follow company standards. Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
