Barista/Front of House Agora Bakery and Cafe 15 Chinquapin Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, ensuring the café environment is welcoming, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Duties Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately while providing friendly service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, dining areas, and equipment. Assist with food preparation and ensure compliance with food handling safety standards. Engage with customers to provide assistance, answer questions about menu items, and recommend products. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items; assist in restocking as needed. Utilize POS system for order processing. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment. Skills Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment operation. Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
