Barista Part Time Epilogue Books Chocolate Brews Chapel Hill, NC 27514 We are actively seeking passionate and creative individuals who love the smell of baked goods as much as we do. We prefer those with food service experience, specially in a café setting. We have a staff diverse in age, gender, race, language, and class; all are welcome here. We are looking for a teammate with about 20-25 hours of availability. Especially Sundays and weekday evenings and afternoons. //forms.gle/iVdacTZkzrSMtq8Q7 Duties & Responsibilities Provide friendly, consistent, and accurate customer service; Prepare drinks for and create a positive atmosphere for our teammates and customers; Display baked goods in cases; Prepare pastries and churros for customers at point of service; Prep chocolate for various uses; Handle and diffuse customer or operational situations; Maintain bar/kitchen equipment, wash dishware, and keep the kitchen clean; Handle incoming customer calls and route them to the right team or teammate; Clean your work area as well as bathrooms when needed; Work with your Leads and Managers on cool new drink ideas and process improvement; Work with the Operations Manager as needed to help keep teammates on track; Handle elevated conversations with teammates that may include disciplinary topics; Coach, train and mentor bar teammates when needed and coordinate training as needed for new teammates.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; At least 9 months of Barista experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with electronic cash registers, Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office software, and standard office equipment; ServSafe Certified; Fluent in Spanish a plus.

Working Conditions Retail hours:

Nights, weekends, early mornings and some holidays Frequent need to lift at least fifty (50) pounds; Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time; Frequent need for oral, written and auditory communication; Frequent mobility to move about the kitchen and chocolatería; and Frequent repetitive hand and wrist motions.
