The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing phenomenal customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This position will receive an equal portion of tip share with the kitchen and other baristas Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, bathrooms and seating areas. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders, answering questions, and making recommendations based on their preferences. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during peak hours while maintaining high standards of quality and service. Adhere to health and safety regulations while preparing food and beverages. Skills Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change. Experience in sales or customer service within a retail or café environment is preferred. Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems for processing orders efficiently. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods. Cash handling experience to ensure accuracy in financial transactions. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and an understanding of various coffee types is a plus. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
