Barista/Team Member The Inkwell Coffee House 55 Water Street, Exeter, NH 03833 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while crafting high-quality beverages. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring that their experience is enjoyable and memorable. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders as needed, and answering questions about menu items. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, restocking as necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and preparation. Qualifications Previous experience as a barista is needed and basic knowledge of the food industry is preferred but not required. Strong cash handling skills with experience using POS systems. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Good math skills for handling transactions accurately. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. A friendly demeanor with a passion for providing outstanding customer service. Ability to work flexible hours if needed, including weekends and holidays as needed.
