The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes. Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash with care. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment. Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries. Educate customers about menu items and make recommendations based on their preferences. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies; restock as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Skills Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling transactions efficiently. Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products to enhance customer experience. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes is preferred. Understanding of food safety practices within the food industry. Experience in food preparation or café settings is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
