Starbucks Barista Applegreen Starbucks South Amboy, NJ 08879 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while crafting high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring that each visit is memorable. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Aloha POS system for order processing and payment transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and dining areas. Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences. Handle food preparation tasks while adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Engage with customers to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere, ensuring their needs are met promptly. Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies; notify management of low stock levels. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Proficiency in math for handling cash transactions and managing sales accurately. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred but not required. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and food handling practices is an asset. Experience in retail math to assist in inventory management and sales tracking. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being able to take initiative when needed. Excellent communication skills to provide clear information to customers and team members alike.
