Barista bohdys llc Ship Bottom, NJ 08008 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our new café team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional experience for our customers by preparing high-quality coffee beverages and providing outstanding service. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment while ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items to customers with precision and care. Operate the Toast POS system efficiently to process customer orders and handle cash transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Engage with customers to provide recommendations, answer questions about menu items, and promote sales effectively. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items; assist in ordering as needed. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in all food preparation areas. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Qualifications Previous experience in the coffee or food industry is preferred Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Experience using cash registers or POS systems is a plus; knowledge of Toast POS is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and food safety practices is highly desirable. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
