Role:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Barista to join our team and elevate the customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, attention to detail, and a strong sense of hospitality. You’ll help oversee daily café operations, train new staff, and play a key role in creating an inviting and memorable environment for our guests. Duties Prepare exceptional coffee and tea beverages to luxury café standards Manage barista workflow and assist with scheduling Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the bar area Provide outstanding customer service with warmth and professionalism Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies Train and mentor junior staff Ensure adherence to quality, health, and safety standards Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation. Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist customers with their selections. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times. Keep the work area clean and organized, including regular cleaning of equipment and surfaces. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have. Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or as a Barista is preferred but not required. Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate transaction processing. Familiarity with POS system is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Knowledge of coffee types, brewing methods, and basic coffee preparation techniques is desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must possess strong time management skills to balance multiple tasks effectively.
