Position Overview:
As a Café Associate at Cloud Cover Coffee, you will be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that each guest enjoys their experience. You will work closely with a dynamic team to provide a welcoming atmosphere, prepare high-quality beverages, and maintain a clean and organized café environment. Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence:
○ Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner. ○ Provide knowledgeable recommendations on the menu, including coffee blends, teas, pastries, and seasonal offerings. ○ Ensure that all customer orders are accurately fulfilled and delivered promptly. 2.
Beverage and Food Preparation:
○ Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks (espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, etc.), teas, and other beverages to company standards. ○ Assist in food preparation, including sandwiches, pastries, and other café items as needed. ○ Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the preparation and service areas. 3. Cleanliness and Organization:
○ Keep the café clean and organized by following health and safety guidelines. ○ Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, tables, restrooms, and public areas throughout the shift. ○ Stock and maintain supplies to ensure smooth operations. 4.
Point of Sale and Payment Processing:
○ Operate the point of sale system and process customer payments (cash, credit, or mobile payments). ○ Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including making change and giving receipts. ○ Maintain accurate transaction records and assist with end-of-shift cash reconciliation. 5.
Team Collaboration:
○ Work cohesively with fellow team members to ensure a smooth flow of operations. ○ Assist in training new staff members when needed. ○ Contribute positively to a supportive and engaging work culture. 6.
Inventory and Supply Management:
○ Help manage inventory levels by reporting shortages and assisting in restocking items as necessary. ○ Ensure that products are stored and displayed in an appealing and efficient manner. 7.
Safety and Compliance:
○ Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines. ○ Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained properly.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in food service, retail, or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- 1-2 years Barista experience required.
Skills:
○ Strong customer service and communication skills. ○ Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. ○ Basic math skills for handling cash transactions. ○ Ability to work as part of a team while also being able to work independently.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move objects (up to 25lbs), and work in a fast-paced environment.

The base pay range for this position is $17.00 – $18.00 per hour. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc. All full time employees are eligible for medical, vision, and dental insurance first of the month following 60 days of employment. All employees that meet the requirements for the 401k benefit are eligible to participate first of the month following 6 months.
