As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring high standards of quality and customer service. Your role will involve working in a fast-paced café environment where you will engage with customers, handle cash transactions, and maintain cleanliness and organization within the café. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas. Handle cash transactions accurately using the Aloha POS system while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, assisting with stock management and ordering as needed. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers. Assist in food preparation as required, including preparing pastries or light snacks for sale. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while managing time effectively during busy periods. Skills Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the café or food service industry. Previous experience in sales or customer service is highly desirable. Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during peak hours. Proficient in cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic understanding of retail math for inventory management and pricing accuracy.
