In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that all food safety and preparation standards are met. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards. Operate cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash with attention to detail. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in food preparation areas. Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Skills Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling transactions effectively. Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products to enhance customer experience. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Knowledge of coffee types, brewing methods, and beverage preparation techniques is preferred. Familiarity with food safety practices within the food industry. Experience in food preparation within a café or restaurant setting is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Understanding of retail math concepts related to sales and inventory management is beneficial.
