Barista or Cashier/part time Canine Comfort Dog Daycare & Boarding Brooklyn, NY Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our dynamic team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while providing exceptional service and high-quality beverages. Your expertise in coffee preparation, customer interaction, and food safety will contribute to an enjoyable experience for all patrons. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards. Operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently, handling transactions accurately while providing friendly service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety and handling regulations. Assist customers with their orders, offering recommendations based on their preferences to enhance their experience. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; notify management when restocking is necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while managing time effectively. Engage in sales activities by promoting seasonal drinks or special offers to increase customer interest and satisfaction. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with cash register operations and basic retail math skills is essential for accurate transactions. Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and a passion for delivering high-quality beverages. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
