As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your role will involve not only crafting delicious drinks but also maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. Responsibilities Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes. Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining spaces. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing the cash register using clover POS system. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and service. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and improve customer service skills. Requirements Previous experience as a barista and knowledge of using an espresso machine. Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure a safe environment for customers. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting. Proficiency in cash handling and retail math for accurate transaction processing. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods.
