Barista and Cashier/part time Bark Bath & Beyond Pet Salon 26 Harden Boulevard, Camden, NY 13316 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be the face of our coffee shop, responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve not only preparing coffee and other drinks but also engaging with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes. Operate the Aloha POS system efficiently to process customer orders and handle transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items. Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages. Participate in promotional activities to boost sales and enhance customer experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or as a Barista is preferred but not required; we are willing to train enthusiastic candidates. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha or similar platforms, is a plus. Basic knowledge of retail math to assist with transactions and inventory management. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Understanding of food handling practices and food safety regulations is beneficial.
