Barista Candy’s Diner 3914 Brewerton Road, Syracuse, NY 13212 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring that every customer has a memorable experience. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Aloha POS system for order processing and payment transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest quality of products. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing assistance and recommendations as needed. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and reporting shortages. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment focused on teamwork and support. Qualifications Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus; training will be provided. Familiarity with food safety practices and food handling regulations is beneficial. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
