Barista Paris oven bakery 3812 30th Ave, Long Island City, NY 11103 Overview We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will contribute to an exceptional café experience for all patrons. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas. Handle cash transactions accurately using the cash register and POS system, including Aloha POS. Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and service. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills in beverage preparation and customer service. Skills Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry. Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required. Proficiency in cash handling and operating a cash register or POS system. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic knowledge of sales techniques to promote menu items effectively.
