As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will ensure that every guest has an exceptional experience. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently, handling transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Follow food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the quality of all products served. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment. Requirements Previous experience in food service or as a Barista is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Proficient in cash register operations and basic math skills for accurate transaction handling. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
