Barista Haven roast Monticello, NY 12701 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and providing exceptional service. Your ability to manage time effectively and handle cash transactions will ensure a smooth operation in our fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, counters, and seating areas. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while maintaining high-quality service standards. Engage with customers to promote new products or specials, enhancing their overall experience. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred but not required. Basic math skills are essential for handling cash transactions and managing sales accurately. Familiarity with Aloha POS systems or similar cash register systems is a plus. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
