Barista or Cashier/part time Oh My Dog Daycare & Grooming Spa Philadelphia, PA Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our dynamic team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring that every drink meets our standards of excellence. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing. Engage with customers, taking orders, providing recommendations, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are fresh and presented attractively. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; communicate needs to management. Uphold high standards of customer service by creating a friendly and inviting environment for all patrons. Stay informed about new products, menu changes, and promotions to effectively communicate with customers. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain health standards. Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately. A passion for coffee and familiarity with various brewing methods is a plus. Experience with cash registers or Aloha POS systems is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
