City Market Grocery is a cozy, fast-paced coffee and food spot located in Charleston’s historic City Market. We serve a variety of made-to-order grab-and-go food, coffee, and tea. In our small but vibrant location, every item is crafted fresh for our guests. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team! Prior food or coffee experience is a plus, but not required — we are happy to train motivated and passionate team members.

Job Overview:

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Baristas and Cashiers to join our team. You will play a key role in preparing beverages, serving food, operating the register, and providing excellent customer service. This is a fast-paced environment where teamwork, positivity, and energy are essential.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and food items following company recipes and standards. Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and ensure a welcoming environment. Operate the Aloha POS system for order entry and handle cash and card transactions efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including coffee equipment and food prep areas. Restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and assist with inventory counts. Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Requirements:

Previous experience in food service, coffee shops, or retail preferred but not required. Friendly attitude with strong customer service and communication skills. Basic math skills for handling transactions and change accurately. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
